How does Pulse Status determine if a monitor is down?
A monitor is checked according to its set interval. If a probe fails or times out, Pulse Status marks it as degraded or retries. Once 3 consecutive failures occur, the service is officially marked DOWN and alerts are dispatched instantly.
Can I monitor ports and databases in addition to websites?
Yes! Pulse Status supports HTTP/HTTPS, TCP port connectivity (like Redis, PostgreSQL, MySQL), and standard ICMP Ping probes.
How do public status pages work?
You can create a status page with a unique URL (e.g. pulsestatus.online/status/my-app). You select which of your monitors to publish and what public display name they should have. Visitors can view uptime history and subscribe to email updates.
Where do alert notifications get sent?
Pulse Status delivers alert notifications to your email (via Resend), as well as to dedicated Slack channels and Discord servers via incoming webhook URLs.
